Ugg began as Australian surf sheepskin, worn to warm up after cold water, not after fashion week. The Classic Short is the house piece, later fought over in courts and malls. It is great at a boot that is really a recovery slipper with a brand war attached. Fun fact: surfers wore them because the Pacific is cold; the argument about “real Ugg” still exists because the origin is a beach, not a lookbook.
