The 1460 boot was born in 1960 when the Griggs family in England put Dr. Klaus Maertens’ air-cushion sole on a work boot. It is great at a rebellious welt. Fun fact: Pete Townshend of The Who helped turn a work boot into a youth uniform; punk and ska did the rest.
