Coach

Miles Cahn and family built Coach in New York in 1941 around baseball-glove leather. It is great at sturdy American bags that got fashion-cool again and again. The Willis and the Tabby are modern classics; Bonnie Cashin’s 1960s turn made Coach design-forward. Fun fact: Coach leather was chosen because glove tanners already knew how to make hide supple and tough.
