Yves Saint Laurent opened his house in 1961 after Dior and put women in trousers as if that were obvious. Le Smoking arrived in 1966; the safari jacket became civilian uniform. It is great at a tuxedo jacket and a scandal that aged into a classic. Fun fact: Rive Gauche ready-to-wear was shocking because it sold couture energy on the street, not only in a salon.
