Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez launched Proenza Schouler in 2002, named for their mothers’ maiden names. It is great at downtown luxury; the PS1 bag was the hit. Fun fact: a Parsons thesis became a house, which almost never happens that cleanly.
