Andrea Lieberman launched A.L.C. in 2009 after years as a celebrity stylist. The brand is great at sharp, wearable evening-adjacent clothes: a great blazer, a cut-out dress, a tailored pant. Early traction came from dressing musicians and red-carpet clients in pieces that photographed clean. Fun fact: Lieberman styled Jennifer Lopez in the famous plunging Versace dress era before building her own label.
