Ann Demeulemeester
Ann Demeulemeester, a member of the Antwerp Six, launched in 1985. She is great at poetic black tailoring, sharp shoulders and a rock-poet silhouette. Early collections defined Belgian deconstruction with romance instead of just rip-and-tear. Fun fact: she walked away from her own house in 2013; the name now continues under new designers with the same dark lyricism.
