Alexandre Mattiussi launched AMI in Paris in 2011. It is great at friendly Parisian tailoring—soft suiting, hearts on sleeves, a red Ami de Coeur sweater. That little heart became the logo people actually wanted. Fun fact: Mattiussi sketched the brand’s name from his own initials and the French “friend,” which is why AMI feels less icy than most Paris houses.
