Joseph Altuzarra launched his New York label in 2008 after Givenchy and Marc Jacobs. It is great at sexy, precise tailoring—the slit skirt and the wrap dress 2.0. Early collection sex-appeal made him a CFDA wunderkind. Fun fact: Kering later invested in the house, putting Altuzarra in the same orbit as much larger luxury groups.
