Atelier de Production et de Création was founded in Paris in 1987 by Jean Touitou. It became a cult for raw denim, perfect tees and anti-logo minimalism. The Petit New Standard jean is the house classic. Fun fact: Touitou famously resisted hype, and A.P.C.’s denim collaborations (including with Kanye West and Kid Cudi) still feel like exceptions to a very French rule of restraint.
